Minutes of the East River Amateur Radio Club December 3, 2002 Ryan's Steakhouse, Bluefield, VA. (www.erarc.com) The November meeting of the ERARC was opened at 700pm by George Dietrich KF4YGL. The meeting took place after the 21 persons in attendance enjoyed the annual ERARC Christmas dinner. George welcomed all in attendance. George thanked the following people: Bob Frazier WB8NRK for the new 2003 edition of the ERARC handbook, Betty Viers KG4CTL for the newsletter, EIMCO for door prizes, Patty Dietrich KG4AYM for coordinating door prizes, etc., and John Riddle N8RIG and Jay Belt N8CTI for repeater maintenance. It was mentioned to pay particular attention to the last page of the ERARC newsletter concerning scholarships from Foundation for Amateur Radio, a Washington, D.C. organization providing the free help. Mentioned: December 7 is SKYWARN appreciation day. The minutes and regular business meeting will be tabled to as to allow members and guests time to visit with one another. ARES net controls for December: 3rd George Dietrich, 10th Ed Viers KD4WOO, 17th Hooger Fisher W4OF, there will not be a net on Christmas Eve. Gary Kadar N8GK asked for a list of those who donated door prizes so as to send thank-you notes. There being no more business, the meeting was closed.
