There were 9 members and guests in attendance. Gary Kadar, N8GK, read the minutes for the November and December meetings. Bob Frazier WB8NRK, ERARC treasurer gave his report. He said that he had reimbursed Jay Belt K8CTI $438.73 for repair costs, shipping, etc. for the 442.45 repeater as well as a preamplifier for that repeater. ed. note: (Jay Belt K8CTI had said that he and John Riddle N8RIG had attempted repair on the 442.45 repeater several times and ended up sending the unit out for repair. It has a new PA transistor and driver, a new PA board of which has updated design and software. Jay said that the company, United Radio, charged $353.00 for the parts and repair. He had found the preamplifier for $65-$70 and will provide a 17db gain and sensitivity from 0.3 to 0.1.) Jay mentioned that the 444.45 was receiving interference from a broadcast station (WSTG) and that he would try to isolate the problem. He does have some PVC pipe for the standoffs for the packet antennas but has not installed them yet. Also, he said that 145.49 is having some type of interference and "may be some power folks on our frequency." There was no new business. Gary Kadar said that he had and John Riddle N8RIG were still on the Mercer County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). Patty Dietrich KG4AYM made a motion to close the meeting, seconded by Betty Viers KG4CTL, and the meeting was adjourned at 727pm. Submitted by Gary Kadar and typed by Hooger Fisher W4OF.
